Men, romance and all that malarky

Sometimes I wonder if its easier just not to get involved or play this game of romance and sex.

Husband - married for 27 years most of it unhappily but still bound up with each other, each nagging and bickering but each not quite able to tear away and leave.

John - older bloke met at work just escaping a similar situation to myself. I think he is interested in me but this could either my imagination or that his interest is because he is lonely and wants to be married or with someone. He is a nice enough person but he doesn't make me laugh. He's got a dinner and dance tonight that he has arranged and he has hinted that he would like me to come along with him. So far I have not taken the hint although I do have a welcome to your new home card in my bag that I could pop round to his with....but then that seems all to obvious and anyway I don't know that I am interested in him really.

Young bloke - don't even know his name except that he is young and gorgeous, dark hair and dark eyes. He made such a pass at me the other week and last week came over and kissed me hello and yet this week could barely lift an arm to wave at me across the pub. Me having had too much to drink felt very let down which is completely rediculous as I don't even know his name....do fancy him though.

So what to do. Sometimes life feels that it could just get too complicated to get involved with someone again and then at other times it would be lovely to have a romance or a cuddle or sex with someone special.

I think I will post John's card then as I really don't want to run after him especially as I am not really interested in being anything other than a friend.

As for young bloke, he is a player and will go in my memory as a nice flirt and thats it.

Husband - well its taken 27 years to get here and we're still plodding on so I guess we'll plod on for a bit longer.
