Set out this morning to get the paper as I want the Independent as it has a book that goes along with the CD on learn Italian and as going through the underpass a man approached me and sort of waved a bit of paper and was trying to ask me something in broken English. Being a bit suspicious of strange men stopping me in underpasses I told him to come up the stairs and and I'd look at his paper then. It turned out he wanted directions to the adult education place. At first I was just going to point him in the right direction and get him to ask someone else a bit nearer but as it meant walking through the town anyway I decided to show him and ended up walking him the whole distance.
It turned out he was from Poland, had only been here a week and was working in a glass factory on a machine that was very hot. He runs marathons, is married and has two children a boy and a girl called Victor and Victoria. He did try and teach me some Polish but apart from Nostravia I've already forgotten the rest. So thats my good deed for the day. I wish I had invited him to dinner or something and cooked him Shepherds pie lol.
Jayne and I went to Chigago's last night and I think we were probably the eldest there but it didn't seem to stop us from being chatted up. A Swede called Swen introduced himself and his very nice mate who sounded extremely well educated and I had a little dance with him later. Also chatted to a man who works as an extra on tv and somehow ended up kissing him but can't remember how it got to that stage. Jayne dragged me off before I could get a number ...oh well never mind the pheremones still seem to be working okay.
Of course no word from Mr V but I'm still sending nice chatty texts which I hope are getting to him. Yasmin gave me some jokes to send so I'll send those tomorrow.
