Busy but satisfying day working yesterday. Went to a children's home and helped the staff to clarify some training issues and what is restorative etc. Then to a parent to read my rather lengthy and judgmental report. I feel I have been quite firm with the parents and laid it on the line that it is the fault of all their arguing, fighting and threats to harm themselves that have affected their daughters behaviour so badly and that this must stop. I expected some justification or even a who do I think I am but no they just meekly signed the report. Hopefully they have recognised the damage they are doing...except I don't think they have really and will continue to use their young child as a confident and friend rather than as a child.

Was going for a walk with Jayne but she was waiting for Sean the plumber to come round and give her a quote. When he eventually did it sounds like he impressed Jayne with his diary, his understanding of the work needed, criticisms of Bondy and the fact he wanted to get home to see his little daughter...ahhh. She even ended by saying she mustn't get too involved! Steady Jayne at the moment he is just a plumber don't fall in love that quick but protect yourself a little.

Funny how entwined we seemed to have become with Mr V's friends. Until that time he told me to stand up we had never crossed our paths and now suddenly they have become a part of our lives.

No word from him but I'm fairly chilled about it. I've been here before and I just know I'll see him again...mind you that comment could be the kiss of death...thing is I would recover so quickly from this...not getting involved like I did ever again.

Richard eventually phoned building society only to be told he needs a different kind of loan and you need to phone them between 9-5...so no doubt this in going to take more months and more of my overdraft piling up. On a positive note I got a statement from Sainsburys saying my loan was for 8000 not the 10,000 I originally thought and I have 38 more payments to make which is just over 3 years...its kind of tempting to see if I could manage to be debt free by then.
