Derek/Della

We met for a 'quickie yesterday' He was rather lovely...he is so fucking sexy he just turns me on being in the same environment as him. He is still promising the room and fun and stuff for Thursday.

I'm really not sure if I will let him know that I know about barage balloon. I'm tempted to tell him but then I'm tempted to keep it back and play with it. Talk to her in front of him in the bar and get him worried etc. We'll see.

Had Richard's long lost relatives come over yesterday which involved massive amounts of cleaning and cooking for me but it seemed to go really well and I enjoyed meeting and chatting with them.

David and Sue seem a really good sound couple, lots of good experiences both in US at the time of the Vietnam protests and recently supporting a school in South Africa. I liked them a lot.

Marion with her obssession of family history was really interesting and I was only sorry that I never had enough time to sit down and look and read all her interesting stuff and do it justice. Hopefully we'll meet up again.

Had an interesting chat with Gillian yesterday she revealed that Derek is a transvestite and has been pretty openish about this since Fred died. He dresses in short skirts and blouses and calls himself Della!!! YOu could have knocked me over with a feather!! I must admit I did laugh but on reflection I think its pretty sad for him and he must be feeling mixed up and lonely in Harlow also it must be very confusing for Joyce as well. She probably doesn't know what to make of it all. There are rumours apparently that Fred found some photo's of Derek and this may have precipitated his rather hasty demise but I don't think that was the case...or was it? Either way it must be hard for Derek to even contemplate that he might have caused his Dad's early death.
