Russians

I met Linda yesterday for a coffee and whilst we were there a text came through from Jayne saying what a horrible time she was having in Venice with her girls and mother in law and that she would never ever do it again with them and she wished she were home...sad!!

I must admit to doing hardly any work yesterday especially once Mr V asked me to send him some nice pic...it does seem that he is staying in touch rather than hiding after all so thats good and makes me nice and relaxed. I don't even need to see him really just need to know he is not ignoring me...thats my wierdness I guess.

Had a couple of early nights recently so should be full of energy but its been very humid and the cats have got fleas which are now biting me so in fact I've actually not slept terribly well really.

Had to set off early today to get to Colchester University because Christine and I were talking to a delegation from Ajabistan...not really sure how you spell it. There were ministers from Education and Minsters from Justice and representatives from the ministry of the President as well as Unicef representative who was supposed to be looking after all the Russians. We had to communicate through translators and it took a bit of getting used to, a bit like waiting for an echo to finish. Christine didn't really need me there and lots of the questions were about social services so I got a bit bored to be honest and the lunch was horrible. However Christine is angling for an invite for us to go out and train them directly, it might be fun or at least an experience if nothing else.

The traffic leaving Harlow was horrendous this morning all due to a 3 lorry crash on the M25. Once poor man died. Its surprising how a crash on the M25 snarls everything up even as far as Harlow and all the roads round here were chocka. Took me 2 hours to get to Colchester and it was fairly slow coming back.

I'm off out tonight to meet Lorraine to catch up with stuff etc.

Haven't heard anything from Jayne today so hopefully this means she is busy having a good time although I have to say I am surprised she has not text more...still she is back tomorrow and I'll catch up with her on Friday no doubt.
