The news we've been dreading

I want to recall yesterday in order of events not in order of importance...I just like things ordered I guess.

Got up still feeling bleurgh and generally depressed really. Set off and got hit by traffic jams in Colchester so arrived late to mediation which despite a couple of minor explosions by Claire is still producing really good results and things are just getting better and better. Jordan and Dad will be reunited this weekend so fingers crossed it goes well.

Christine phoned and left a message on my answer phone which took me a moment to understand as she was quite excited but it was about the article in Community Care and saying how brilliant it was. Phew I was relieved and when I got home Sam had sent me an electronic version I might try and cut and paste it onto here later because it is good and does sum up what we do and how we help families and thank goodness it didn't name the school.

I had my hair cut while counselling Cheryl who at last does have a boyfriend and he sounds very sexy. Mixed race and an olympic judo athelete to boot! Must be good in bed.

I hadn't bothered trying to contact mr V and was not going to either as really couldn;t be bothered and had convinced myself that he was probably seeing her anyway.

Tried to phone Mum but got no answer which was a bit worrying as I thought Dad was coming out today. Sent a text to Lisa who said she would phone in a bit. When she did it was with the news we've all been dreading. The cancer has spread and is causing bleeds in the brain. They don't know as yet where the main cancer is and tomorrow he will be moved to a cancer ward where they will do more tests and stuff. Not sure if its worth doing treatment or pallitive care. Lisa said they all cried and Dad apologised for causing all this fuss...which is the most upsetting thing of all. Have a tantrum Dad and demand more attention.

Phoned Mum and said I would come down in the morning..so thats where I am, half packed, half dressed and waiting for the rush hour to finish so I can set off on this wet and depressing day.

Incidently Mr V text as I was speaking to Lisa so I just replied and told him what was happening. He said 'sorry to hear that babe' He's not so bad afterall.
