Its just over a month since I last posted. Christmas has come and gone, the new year is here along with lots of colds and flu's and the usual lack of money and high credit card bills.
Christmas was pretty good. We were pretty quiet with our Chris spending his first Christmas away from home at Fiona's but I amused myself by trying to work out which of Derek's friends were really female or male and the food and drink was lovely thanks to Phil's marks and sparks gift vouchers.
Boxing day was better with Chris and Fiona and playing cluedo and staying up till gone 3 in the morning just chatting. We followed this day with a walk around Rye Meads and then early early to bed for work the next day.
New year was spent at Chris and Rays which was brilliant. Flying out there, hiring the car and drving was much more fun then the endless drive I would normally do. The eve itself went well first at the neighbours then the local pub and then at the church listening and watching the bell ringers ring in the new year followed by auld lang syne and watching the fireworks of Plymouth miles down below. Was the most unusual but most spiritually uplifting new years eve I've spent.
I also met a woman who had lived in Harlow all her life until only 2 years ago and now is almost a neighbour of Chris and Rays.
Adrian was hard work but never mind.
New years day was spent coping with hangover, the onset of a cold and standing on a cold wet Cornish beach mad people in fancy dress dive into the sea.
Next day I travelled home and finally gave in to my cold which made me suffer for all the fun I had had. I took three days off sick I felt so bad and only recently started to feel normal again whereas poor Richard is the one to suffer now.
So what will this year bring. Dad's gone and so has the worry about his health although I miss the worry which is strange. Mum has to be taken into the equasion now and life is not just about doing what I want because although I'm definetely not close I cannot abandon her completely so there is thoughts about holidays and stuff for her.
Holidays - Jayne and I have booked to go to Spain in June and possibly another one in early March just to give us something to look forward to.
Mr V is still on the scene I may be trotting to Peterborough tomorrow night for a delicious but tiring rendevouz- his mate Robo is slightly on the scene in the background and who knows who I might meet this year, possibly no one unless I get fit and lose some weight.
Health is generally good apart from this cold but I do need to do some exercise and thought about golf or something else. Would prefer something free and fun, what like sex perhaps?
Phil is still at home but for how much longer.
Chris is settled with Fiona but where will that go?
The house still needs decorating and I must do the garden this year I promise hands up to god
My debts are still mounting and are now in danger of toppling over me like some horrible abervan disaster ready to sweep me up and cover me over.
Work is uncertain due to funding and it would be good to get some clarification and certainty.
Friends are good and a nice mixture of male and female...Jayneee being special followed closely by Lorraine and Angela...would love to see Jackie again but we'll see.
Apart from that life is good and much may it continue to do so.
