Skipping

I did everything I set out to do. Cut back drastically on fat intake even missing the latte and having water instead, went for my walk which took 43 minutes so I was pretty pleased about as I had set the target of 45 minutes. I could really feel those muscles work and for the rest of the day felt pretty tired. I've tried skipping today but could only manage about 25 turns before feeling I was wetting myself and getting out of breath. This is good exercise and my aim is to increase this dramatically along with the time for the walk which must become a run.

Went out with Lorraine and Jayne last night. Lorraine and I were alibis for Jayne who went through the whole day in a perpetual state of high anxiety and if she had been able to would have put him off. However in the end he did not let her down and she went off to meet him. I've only heard briefly but she said it was lovely, no doubt I'll get the full story later.

Richard has gone off to sportscentre or to meet his girlfriend. Its quite funny now I know and today there was things he needed to do before he left like empty the bins and he got into quite a strop cos he didn't want to do it before he left, no doubt keen to meet up with his running partner.

I've got up and started a soup making factory today and in middle of potato and leek soon to be followed by parsnip and celeriac later.

There is a roast cooking in the oven, Phil is getting ready to go to Tottenham with Lee, Mr Velvet replied to texts this morning and all is pretty generally well in the world. I must go and do some gardening today.

Oh bird flu has entered the country and so far people are playing it down and there doesn't seem to a panic but we remain to see if it does affect us at all.
