Romance in Covent Garden

Richard had arranged for me to have an eye test and also to see if I could wear contact lenses. I was not very keen to be honest as I am pretty happy on the whole with my glasses but after the test when she put some soft disposable lenses in my eyes I really liked them and now I am quite keen. Richard said he would pay but that was probably going to be for the really cheap ones not the ones I need...lol

Went to London to meet up with Rob and after a lot of messing around on trains and stuff we finally met up at Tottenham hale. I waited for a while and was beginning to wonder if I had been stood up when I saw this man who had obviously made an effort, dressed smartly in a nice grey shirt and trousers but with brown shoes ...coming towards me. He gave me a kiss hello and we set off for Covent Garden.

He actually described himself as a Phil Mitchell look alike and he does really albeit a slightly squashed one. But apart from the accent thats where the similarities end. Rob is very sweet, generous and romantic. He paid for everything and bought me a rose. We visited various pubs, had a wander around Covent garden and ended up in Yates where we had a bit of a dance...it was all good. We eventually got the night bus home and a taxi for which he paid. It should have been a wonderfully romantic evening and in lots of ways it was but there is something missing for me. I suppose I need to get Mr V out of my system and get to know Rob a bit more.

He said for me to trust him and also that he knows I have not been treated nicely in the past and he wants to treat me well. He talks about introducing me to his family which is a bit scary and he is talking future and stuff....this is such early days and I need him to slow down with a big S really.

Anyway I got home at nearly 4 in the morning and we have sort of planned to go for a walk or something next time, something that costs no money because he must have spent a fortune last night and I cannot let that continue.

Today is a lovely sunny day and I need to get out into the garden and do some work but I feel a bit tired so will really have to motivate myself.
