Windy days

Weather forecast was for very strong to gale force winds today and I had appointments in Clacton, Colchester and Tiptree. Work wise it was a good day. Coppins Green was the second one of the Restorative Interventions and it seemed to go down well although some of the concepts or the way in which was I delivering them were a bit difficult for the children to grasp.

It was an enjoyable piece of work and after Peter and I had a late breakfast early lunch and a natter. Some of the earlier tension between us had gone and hopefully he sees me as just a friend and no more.

The next two appointments were about families and I didn't end up leaving Tiptree till 5. The A12 was closed or jammed in lots of places with up turned or abandoned lorries, police whizzing past us and being able to barely get above first gear gave my feet cramp. I finally got home about 7.45 exhuasted and grouchy.

Watched Big brother which is causing all sorts of controversies with Jade Goody being a racist bully. It seems like the whole world is watching and commenting on this programme which the contestants have no idea that when they emerge into theworld people will have been talking about them from the Parliament in India to the women in our office. 'The furore has seen politicians including Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and David Cameron drawn into the row, while 35 MPs have signed a motion condemning the programme, although Channel 4 has stood by it.
Speaking on a trip to India, Gordon Brown said: "There is a lot of support for Shilpa. It is pretty clear we are getting the message across. Britain is a nation of tolerance and fairness."

Well its Friday today and had a good day in the office. I will have a new contract for another year which is reassuring and have been given time to develope the training role better. I will really have to get on and do this now rather than wasting time messing around and stuff.

Had a chat to Jo who lost her mum not long before my Dad died and we both have experienced similar difficulties.

Come home tonight and am off in a minute to meet with Jayne and Lorraine for a quick bite to eat at the Hare before an early night...I think we must all be getting old as none of us want to do anything exciting or late tonight, I actually want to feel fresh cos I really want to start attacking the garden, its my aim this year to look after the garden much better.
